"I am pleased to give a letter of recommendation to TUL designs.
I had the pleasure of working with the TUL designs team on a property wide T-12 to LED fixture replacement project paired with landscape lighting replacement in 2014 . As of July 14, 2012, the U.S. manufacture or import of most T12 lamps was barred. The goal of this project was to significantly reduce facility energy costs as well as qualify for tax deduction to help offset the upfront cost of the project.  The difficulty of coordination alone would have frightened even the most seasoned of project managers (project included back of house, stairways, and event space equaling 800+ fixtures). Katie Roberts, Clayton Beaumont, and Nancy Swartz  took on the project with a fastidious step by step approach to gather all the data necessary to plan a project of this scale. With over 700 fixtures to replace, the audit alone was a daunting task. The project scope included T-12 fixture counts and location documentation, replacement LED fixture and occupancy sensor placement, tracing and labeling panel box locations for each area’s lighting, spacing and placement for 121 bollards, obtaining electrical contractor bids, storage, installation planning with property staff, purchasing and project management. I was impressed that not only were they dedicated in getting the project planned and properly implemented, they took the time to understand the OS&E so they could make educated “on the spot” decisions throughout the install. I would wholeheartedly recommend TUL designs for capital projects of this magnitude. They are a detail oriented group of dedicated consultants with a wide breadth of combined skill sets.
I liken TUL interiors to the behind the scenes crew on the show Hotel Impossible. They come in and assess property condition, devise a plan of action with ownership, then implement the renovation/capital project plan. It always impressed me with how they bring it all together (from a design, function, and tech standpoint) to breath new life into a property."
